PBS SPECIAL – “MAGIC MOMENTS: BEST OF 50’S POP”

In early 2004, Bruce Belland, Co-Founder and Lead Singer of THE FOUR PREPS was contacted by PBS with a request to make the group available for a PBS Fund Raising Special to be filmed at the Taj Mahal Resort in Atlantic City that April.

Other artists on the show included: PAT BOONE, DEBBIE REYNOLDS, THE MAGUIRE SISTERS, THE FOUR ACES, THE FOUR LADS, THE FOUR COINS, GOGI GRANT, THE CHORDETTES, PATTI PAGE, THE CREW CUTS, THE PLATTERS & MEL CARTER.

The Special was broadcast on PBS Stations across the nation that September garnering record-breaking ratings and the audience response to THE PREPS’ performance was tumultuous, resulting in a groundswell of requests for a national tour by THE FOUR PREPS to commemorate their 50th Anniversary.

That tour is now underway. Concert locations and dates are listed above.

 “MAGIC MOMENTS: BEST OF 50’S POP” continues to be a regular Fund Raising program for PBS throughout the country.
