Hi everyone,

Now and then something really nice happens to each of us and when it does, we need to take time to savor it… and pass it on.

So, I’m attaching a recent e-mail from a nice lady who… well, read on and you’ll see...

Hi there Bruce

Many thanks for your news. It would have been so cool to see you guys live but alas, living here in South Africa, it is not possible. I live and work on a very large cattle & game farm in an area called Limpopo province which is near the borders of Zimbabwe and Botswana.

The nearest city is about 260 kilometers away. I have been unable to get any of your CD’s so when my brother visited USA in November, I asked him to purchase a CD. Well, none of the stores he went to had your music in stock so he returned to New Zealand (where he lives), empty handed.

Yesterday my brother let me know that he had ordered the CD and it has arrived in NZealand. Because the postal service is rather unreliable in my area, the CD will be given to a family member from Johannesburg who will visit NZ in March and this lady will bring the CD back to South Africa and I will drive 600 kilometers to a place called Alberton to eventually collect the CD. I hope to have it by May.

I thought you would enjoy the lengths I have gone to to get your CD.

Have a wonderful 2012. All the Best!

 Regards

Dharna Chrystal.

I mean c’mon folks. Is it just me or does that note grab you the same way?!

O.K. some quick news and then I’ll letcha go…

The Preps were crazy busy during the Holidays. After 56 years of procrastinating, we finally put together one heck of a Christmas Show and the response was really overwhelming. (There’ll be some Christmas show footage on our web site soon.)

We SOLD OUT in Yuma and Phoenix - as well as at the gorgeous and opulent Balboa Bay Club in Newport – (which has already invited us back on August 17th for a “Concert on the Sand”. It’s gonna be a spectacular Summer beach party that’s open to the public, so stand by for details. Tickets will soon be available at 949 630 4120.)

Then we welcomed in the New Year in great fashion performing for our friends at the elegant Birnam Wood Country Club in Montecito – right up the country road from Oprah’s!

Birnam Wood is, without question, one of the most exquisite clubs in the country. Tuxes and evening gowns were in order and believe me, that Montecito bunch knows how to boogie and welcome in the New Year. Great Fun!

When you have a chance, we’d really appreciate your checking out some of our new videos and music tracks on youtube.com and leaving a comment.

The most recent additions include: “You Are My Special Angel”, “Goodnight Sweetheart”  “Over the Rainbow”, “Blue Velvet” and “Young and Foolish”. Talk about “blasts from the past”!

We’re sort of chilling during January. Bob has some VERY important golf tournaments to conquer and I’m just about finished compiling and editing a new Preps CD which will be available soon.

Then in February we’ll hit the ground running, starting the tour in Arizona (our new adopted home!) then on to Florida for a series of dates there and then back to California for some concerts at the end of a very busy month.

See PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE on our web site www.fourpreps.com for details. We’ll be all over in 2012 from California to New Hampshire and Ohio to Florida so we may be coming your way one of these days.

FOR OUR SOCAL FRIENDS:

One more thing… we’ll be performing on March 25 in a Sunday matinee show at the Mission Theater in the picturesque town of Fallbrook in the San Diego area. For more info call 760 731 2278.

That takes us up through the next couple of months so I won’t be bothering you for awhile… (yeah, right- who’s he kidding?!)

O.K. All for now… (just for now.)

Bruce

P.S. We have a really special summer lined up. There’s the Balboa Bay Club beach party on August 17th and the next weekend, on Friday evening August 24th we’ll perform on Catalina Island at the magnificent Casino Theater. A special, late night ferry will be available for those who want to attend the show and head back to the mainland without spending the night on the island. What a summer it’s gonna be!
